Another Trip to the North Carolina Zoo
I love zoos, and the North Carolina Zoo has been a tried-and-true day-trip destination for us as we try to make it there at least once a year. We made our trip for this year on Sunday. We were excited because they had opened a giraffe-feeding station. When we got there, they were offering free admission to the feeding deck, but there was no feeding going on, which was kind of disappointing. Nonetheless, we saw lots of critters, many of whom were very active, which is always a plus when you go to a zoo on a hot summer’s day. It was also another chance for me to try out my new zoom lens, and it really came in handy at the large exhibits where the animals were lounging far from the fence.

Wow! Awesome pictures, baby! I love the one with the otter underwater and the duck making ripples. And those gators look like they're about to munch on some of the kids who were visiting the zoo . . .
